QUOTE(Miltopia @ Sat 24th November 2007, 12:50pm) Just about to post this :-)
The arbitrators have busy times ahead. Durova MONGO and Ryulong are all on the request page.
I have probably more faith in arbcom than most people on this forum, but I still doubt they will have the balls to step back and say "We need to stop the bullshit here and now", especially not with that clueless Jimbo from cheering on these problem people.
To be honest though, I don't see Ryulong as that big of a problem, even though I opposed his RFA.
Hehe, I thought someone would get to it before me, but I looked around and didn't yet see anything! And I agree, there are some big cases at the fore. Although MONGO will probably be rejected and this RFAR against Ryulong is of uncertain fate, a lot of attention and spotlight is on the Arbcom atm.

QUOTE(cyofee @ Sat 24th November 2007, 1:22pm) QUOTE(Derktar @ Sat 24th November 2007, 9:39pm) Kirill accepts nearly any case, we have yet to see what the others will say. I like the hey-lets-arbcom atmosphere of the last few days, if a case gets filed against JzG everything will be perfect. That's true, and I don't know how a history of bad blocks will compare to a longer history of rampant incivility and misbehavior (a la MONGO). QUOTE(Ryulong @ Sat 24th November 2007, 1:25pm) Damn, and when it was first open I was checking here to see if anyone bothered to post about it (which was an hour ago). I was just now planning on starting the thread myself just to get it out of the way. I still don't like it that Kirill accepted the case before I had any time to post my statement. But what am I to do?Well we usually work quick here, although next time I'm sure we will all leave a grace period if you want to start a thread in this forum. Personally I think you have a good chance of things going unnoticed what with the Durova and MONGO arbcom cases and the elections in December, but a lot of people check the Arbcom board.

QUOTE(Aloft @ Sat 24th November 2007, 4:47pm) QUOTE(Ryulong @ Sat 24th November 2007, 9:25pm) But what am I to do? Refrain from abusing the tools you should not have been given in the first place. If you were paying attention, I had that linked to a diff on my talk page for a reason. Kirill Lokoshin accepted the case twenty minutes prior to my posting of my own statement in the case. That is an issue if anything else.

QUOTE(Firsfron of Ronchester @ Sat 24th November 2007, 6:33pm) QUOTE(Bob Boy @ Sat 24th November 2007, 5:09pm) Looks like revenge is a dish best served cold. What a weird block log. Four mistaken blocks? Heh. Check out this - after Ryulong blocked him, SlimVirgin disapproved his unblock request. Also, he's posted an interesting sample of how Ryulong treats users in the unblock IRC channel. This post has been edited by Bob Boy: Sun 25th November 2007, 12:55am

I was just making a statement as to why you're in this position at all. Don't worry, I'm sure you've made Raul very proud. This post has been edited by Aloft: Sun 25th November 2007, 1:44am

For this disgraceful behaviour I think you should RFC and then Arb Kirill, so that we can have a perfect circular firing squad, from which Wikipedia would only benefit. Nothing would be better than if you, JzG, Durova, MONGO, and all of ArbCom were forced to simply write articles for a year or two instead of imagining malfeasant sock-vandals under every bed. In the meantime, the siege mentality is hilarious to watch from the outside, as the rats turn on each other, left and right. The quasi-resignation and sabbatical of SlimVirgin and Jayjg now seem downright prescient.
