QUOTE(Robster @ Thu 13th December 2007, 8:23pm) So now she's defending herself by throwing other admins under the WikiBus?
God. I know. She's like the unpolitical animal in motion. QUOTE(Robster @ Thu 13th December 2007, 8:23pm) The endgame, methinks, is upon her. She'll be banned by New Year's.
Bangs hand on table in approval.

QUOTE(guy @ Fri 14th December 2007, 6:32pm) QUOTE(Moulton @ Fri 14th December 2007, 7:10pm) Although it's a long shot, Durova could theoretically have a genuine epiphany. What, own up to her mistakes the way Kelly Martin did? And, as a result, fundamentally revise her values, beliefs, and practices.

QUOTE(Moulton @ Fri 14th December 2007, 8:29pm) Eventually, someone there is gonna be the first on the chopping block to manifest that epiphany. It's a hell of an opportunity for someone who genuinely craves attention.
It's also a tried and true way to garner amazing grace.
Can you please translate to English for us plebians? or to use a Durova-ism "what do you mean when you articulate that?" Are you assuming that Durova will put herself on the chopping block? Why? She would rather die than admit fault. No, she'll go down blaming everyone else and their mama. That's her brand of attention.

An epiphany is when you have an awakening to an insight that has long eluded one's consciousness. After the moment of insight, revelation, or enlightenment, one sees things in a new light, perhaps changing one's core beliefs or habitual practices. For that to happen, one may also have to conquer a core fear as well. It might be fear of being the scapegoat. That's a very hard fear for many people to overcome. But as long as the community suffers from systemic dysfunctionality, there will be an indefinite need for lesser scapegoats. Eventually someone will have to step up to the role of designated scapegoat with enough courage to overthrow the dysfunctional paradigm.

Backing up again, you are seriously suggesting that Durova will have an epiphany? (and thanks, but I knew what it was - I simply could not believe you were suggesting this). This post has been edited by Disillusioned Lackey: Sat 15th December 2007, 3:56am
