QUOTE(Moulton @ Wed 21st May 2008, 3:41am) We've used the somewhat corny term (no offense to any Iowans here) 'Deathwatch' on three threads, each time with a distinctly different connotation or tacit expectation or hoped-for outcome.
Perhaps we can adopt a more expressly hopeful term for each one. Something like this:
Cla68 Vindicationwatch
JzG Redemptionwatch
SV Enlightenmentwatch
Filll Epiphanywatch
FeloniousMonk Remorsewatch
I agree. D-watch makes us sound like sickos. Popcorn-watch is more appropriate.

Actually, it insults me more than it insults anyone on WP. For one thing, it's juvenile and lame. I'd be embarrassed to use such puerile epithets. If you're gonna insult someone, at least have the class to steal something indecent from Shakespeare... Face it, JzG leads the Wikipack when it comes to unredeemed demagogues, mendacious manipulators, swaggering soldiers of fortune, nefarious eaters of broken organ meats retained by rival cabals, and creators of vexagonistic lunatic scapegoat psychodrama. His insidious evil soul represents an intolerable wave of acedia, spiritual decay and horror the likes of which Hell has never seen before. Does that work for you?

(this is humourous hyperbole, for anyone who thinks I am laughing at JzG. I'm not, I just found Moulton's rhetoric amusing as even JzG is obviously far worse than that ...) the pure lovecraftian terror when I find myself glancing at myself in the mirror and see looking back at me one of those exotically crowned, unnaturally high-foreheaded race known as a Wikipedian, those eldritch horrors that every family unfortunate enough to be fated to conceive has seen fit to hide in the catacombs beneath their mansion, for seeing these creatures causes in those who must look upon them, every nerve to spasm into unnatural angles out of fear and shame at what they have spawned. P.S. for the wikipedians- I'm joking This post has been edited by wikiwhistle: Thu 22nd May 2008, 12:37pm

QUOTE(Moulton @ Wed 21st May 2008, 12:32pm) QUOTE(guy @ Wed 21st May 2008, 3:01pm) QUOTE(Moulton @ Wed 21st May 2008, 4:39pm) And you know what happens when I get annoyed, don't you? You make lots of posts? And of course you know the role model for that practice, who perhaps considers me his rival or antagonist. Actually, in the category of massive over-posting, you would seem to have no rival here. Program notes: I started a thread called "JzG Deathwatch," and after editors pointed out that this had become a cliché, I renamed it "JzG DICKwatch," recalling that JzG took the honors in this year's WP:DICK of Distinction pageant. QUOTE(Somey @ Wed 21st May 2008, 12:54pm) Any good gag loses potency after the second or third use... Besides, this thread should actually be merged with this one, as HK was three days late picking up on it. So perhaps it's a moot point? Mainly, it just shows once again that descriptive thread titles are important to our so-called "mission." Now, I will put the controversy at rest by following Somey's advice, and merging it.

I think he would be more likely to keep it in his pants. The worst I'd expect is lots of images of women with large breasts.
No offence to JzG- this is just as a comment on the activity, o.k?- but regular cycling can have certain negative effects on a man. BBCGod, yes. And regular cycling doesn't always cause a woman to be a basket of sunshine, either ... This post has been edited by Milton Roe: Tue 27th May 2008, 7:41am
