For somebody who actually participates here, Sceptre does have a tendency to sound way too much like the BADSITES cliqueistas.

Dude - Isn't Kurt Weber the head of WMF Germany? Sorry if that's an out-of-it question. I don't follow everything. But I thought that was the name of the Deutschland WM Foundation head.

Who turns out to be (like everyone else) amazingly young.

Nothing against youth. Just that it is wasted on the young (bad joke, I know). My point is that many of the WMF reps and of course the online admin circles, all the way up to Bureaucrats and Stewards, etc, are sometimes too young to drink, at least under U.S. law.

Most of them, actually. Also many are too young to drive. Or to look at porn.

Or do do things that happen in porn.

I'm not using any "WR is evil" hyperbole; Kurt has engaged in behaviour that, when viewed by any outsider, would be seen as harassment, if only by Wikipedia's policy.

What has he done? Not questioning that what you say is true- I'm just surprised.

He's used IRC on more than two occasions to me and another editor to harass, even after requests to stop.

Kurt most certainly needs banning, or at least a topic ban on certain areas such as RfAs.

Are you using "harass" in the real-world meaning, or the SlimVirgin / MONGO meaning, where it could just mean "has the effrontery to disagree with my opinions and refuse to sit down and shut up, and occasionally even links to evil sites that express such dissenting opinions"?

No. He acts like a spoilt child on IRC, and is bloody irritating to most, if not every person in the channel. I wouldn't go so far as to say he harrasses, although he has sent me personal messages on this forum along the lines of "Hey, troll. Why do you hate Wikipedia?" out of the blue. I just close it and ignore it, reminding myself "it's just Kurt". He's harmless.

Kurt is annoying and irritating, but harassment? Give me a break.

Kurt has an account here, but I don't think he has posted since there was a debate over the infallibility of Ayn Rand, in which he was the sole pro-infallibility voice.

well, speaking for myself, i started posting regularly just to take shots at wikipedians who seemed to be getting off easy just because they were posting here... which lead to me taking shots at WRers who couldn't take criticism as well as they could give it. that being said, as to the subject of this thread, kurt weber doesn't seem any more annoying than, say, tony sidway was. actually, i think the later "process troll" should have been entirely site-banned, but kurt's "disruptions" strike me as generally more well-intentioned.

While I can't say I approve of all of Kurt's conduct, I find it to be somewhat better than the conduct of the only other Randist Wikipedian who springs to mind. Kurt, bless his soul, can at his worst be merely an irritant.

Sceptre seems a bit totalitarian to me; thinks that they should decide who is and isn't on Wikipedia. Would be bad for her when karma comes her way.

As for Kurt, he's harmless. A voice of honest, if blunt, dissent never hurts.
