I really recommend you check out the Newsvine. Looks interesting. I want to know what you think. It looks like good anti-Wikimedia news, because it's a form of competition. I don't want to be overly optimistic though.
http://newsvine.com It's a Web site where you can collaborate and add news stories and comment on other people's news stories. It reminds me somewhat of ArmcharGM. And it's also somewhat reminiscent of Wikinews. I mean, this site looks special because it may be the start of a proliferation of collaborative news sites. Or maybe I'm overestimating the whole thing. |

That sounds a bit like that OfficialWire place - the one that Wikipedians think is run by Baou. When I looked at that one, it said anyone could submit stories.
