I can just imagine the pellet-chewing that would ensue at WP if we decided to fully expand Fursona (T-H-L-K-D), Yiff (T-H-L-K-D), Scalie (T-H-L-K-D), and the other terms which all redirect to Furry Fandom (T-H-L-K-D).

I'm deeply moved by our crotchety community's interest in showing support for the much oppressed fur minority amongst us. And by Kohs who has demonstrated that he accepts furries as long as they aren't tigers. Presumably because of his opposition to the Tamil Tigers, a furry terror organization in Souther India. In fact, where's the article on "furry terror organizations"? You've got the Tigers and that Manx separatist group that dresses like short-tailed cats, articles have been made on less.

An even more general name for them: "insanosona".

Gee, Seren, if you want something to do, you could turn those hundreds of thousands of stubs about forms of life into proper articles. Most of them have been sitting untouched since 2006-2008. That is one area where "Wikipedia is all human knowledge" really, really falls down. (And don't ask me about Wikispecies. You won't like the response.)

Very few of them look like Aronia (T-H-L-K-D), the vast majority look more like Sorbaria (T-H-L-K-D).

Do red links make you itch? How about Arthopyrenia (T-H-L-K-D)?

It kind of annoys me as a burlesque fan that Wikipedia has fuck all about the Forty Deuce burlesque revue, which is notable and not an evanescent thing.

They have the 1982 movie of the same title, but who cares?

Forty Deuce (T-H-L-K-D)

Forty Deuce press release for those of you who have no idea of what I'm ranting about. It's a PDF, for those of you who hate PDF links without a warning.

1. Tony Luke's

It is famous in South Philadelphia. Its competitors, Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks, have articles, and so does its owner, Tony Luke, Jr., but the restaurant itself does not have an article.

2. The Gold Club - It just redirects to "Strip club."

Wikipedia's redirect for "seaweed salad" doesn't contain any images that look like the seaweed salad I'm typically served in Pennsylvania sushi restaurants. Commons contains only 3 pictures related to the stuff, and only 1 photo includes the variety I'm accustomed to, but it's blurry and off to the corner of the dinner tray.

Seaweed salad is also known as Goma wakame in Japanese. There's a New York Times article about it here (though it won't load for me for some reason). There's apparently also a version in China that's pretty much the exact same thing and it's called chuka salad.

Either way, i've added it to my list.

I am lightly editing an article about a burlesque dancer and her origins - and she gives a lot of credit to Boylesque (the male drag version of burlesque).

Why isn't there an article about it? Boylesque is a notable subject with lots of secondary sources, and don't tell me there aren't any gay editors who like men in drag in Wikipedia.

It would be convenient ('cause I'm just fixing a few things, not doing a rewrite) to link the term to a Wikipedia article. Ah well.

Besides, Boylesque is faaaaabulous! *flounces away* laugh.gif

I'm surprised the Sonic The Hedgehog fansite sonicretro.org has no article, they're easily one of the more notable Sonic fansites out there.

I am also wondering why Jocelyn Wildenstein, a woman who freqently gets plastic surgery, is missing an article.

The Sonic Retro forums are certainly mentioned a lot in the news. You could probably pull some form of article together, though it would be a bit difficult.

As for Jocelyn Wildenstein, she just redirects to her husband, Alec N. Wildenstein, where her plastic surgery stuff is mentioned. Is she really independently notable enough for the surgeries to get her own article? It doesn't really seem like it.

I think both would be filed under "S" for "Shit no one cares about".

On the other hand, you sound like a perfect candidate for the ARSeholes.

Break out the ball gag and Crisco, Seren, you got an initiate here.
