Crum375, who had been quiet for almost a year, has suddenly come back to life at the PETA article. He's vigorously trying to defend some edits he made to the article, using a lot of old tactics, such as misquoting policy, personalizing the dispute, and using delaying tactics. When he starts to lose the argument, he leaves a warning on the opposing editor's (Tryptofish) talk page. Experienced Wikipedia participants and observers, like those who participate here, will recognize that Crum is doing this so that he'll have a diff to show an "attempt at dispute resolution" if he begins the dispute resolution process with Tryptofish at a later date.

Tryptofish has, over several months, been slowly whittling away a lot of the POV that was in the PETA article. He has been able to do so by being extremely patient and polite, in spite of some baiting and pushy behavior by some of the other editors who are active in that article. It'll be interesting to see what eventually happens. So far, Tryptofish has been a model of decorum and civility.

This shit will never end. I feel sorry for Tryptofish--it's only a matter of time before Crum, the Virgin's leading meatpuppet, gets Trypto banned for some made-up reason.

Hi Tryptofish, please try to focus on specific issues and avoid referring to me or to your perceptions of my views or motives. IOW, focus on the message, not the messenger. Thanks, [[User:Crum375|Crum375]] ([[User talk:Crum375|talk]]) 18:18, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

See, this is what makes Wikipedia disgusting. If Trypto were an admin, he could answer back such a message on his talk page appropriately, by simply saying "Bite me, Crum." And then ignoring it. That would more or less force mediation, with Crum hopping up and down at AN/I saying:

boing.gif You... you have to do something!! User:Tryptofish was VULGAR to me on his talk page!!! boing.gif

But as it is, with the assymmetry of wikipower, Trypto has to resort to the mock civility of a trial lawyer in front of a judge, so as not to be held in contempt. Sad.
