QUOTE(Moulton @ Mon 2nd August 2010, 7:18pm) *
So I go to WP to leave a note for James, and some kid named "Ohnoitsjaimie" erases it and blocks my Verizon IP (one of about 70,000 in the pool). So I switch IPs and put back my message to James.
Well, unless you're interested in the SpaceX company, EntrenchedBcrat (T-C-L-K-R-D) just got permablocked in error..... biggrin.gif

Let's go to the video tape...

QUOTE(EntrenchedBcrat)
An editor has expressed a concern that this account may be a sock puppet of Moulton.

A "concern"? WTF is that? And who? And what are they using for evidence, analysis, and reasoning?

Have they attempted to falsify their haphazard hypothesis, in accordance with the protocols of the Scientific Method?

What the devil is WP teaching these kids? Fear and Loathing in Lost Vagueness?

OK. I posted the following, below the notice which Eric raised to my attention...

QUOTE(Moulton's Complementary Concerns)
Moulton's Complementary Concern

I'm concerned that User:Ohnoitsjamie is publishing haphazard hypotheses unsupported by evidence, analysis, or reasoning. Jamie, have you attempted to falsify the above hypothesis in accordance with the protocols of the Scientific Method? The remit of the WMF (as spelled out in this statement) is to publish useful information that promotes the educational objectives of the project. I have no objection to you publishing such hypotheses, provided the scholar who crafts such hypotheses supports them with evidence, analysis, and reasoning and submits his or her work to scholarly peer review. That way, at least the educational objectives of the project can be fulfilled — even if and when this or that random hypothesis is revealed to be an ungrounded flight of fancy. And by the way, whoever the concerned editor is who is positing the aforesaid hypothesis, please come back and sign your work so we may know who to discuss it with. —Moulton 05:52, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

How to make movies of themselves, obviously. Not sure whom else they'd give a fuck about.

(write a decent parody and you may win the Steely Dan t-shirt).

Well, Jamie hasn't screwed up so badly that he deserves to be parodied.

Perhaps Alison and I can be of some service to him, before he goes down the same path as Adam Brookes.

It's one thing for Adam to block half the Internet on Wikiversity. If Jamie did the same thing on Wikipedia, it wouldn't exactly go unnoticed.

Is it so difficult to keep children away from social networking? They need fresh air and need to spend some time with their friends and sports.

QUOTE(Alison @ Thu 8th July 2010, 7:25am) *

Just so yaz know, Ottava is now indefinitely blocked on Commons by Gmaxwell, while Tyciol runs free (and making plenty of maintenance edits. Won't be long before adminship!). I'm guessing the indef on Commons for Ottava was more about whatever happened on Wikiversity yesterday.

Hey Ty - since you're reading this, did you pick up the Black genitalia link from reading here yesterday? hmmm.gif

Just spotted him elsewhere...
