QUOTE(lilburne @ Wed 22nd February 2012, 4:35pm) QUOTE(thekohser @ Wed 22nd February 2012, 5:33am) QUOTE(SB_Johnny @ Tue 21st February 2012, 8:27pm) And for the record, my daughter is also enthralled by the "Warriors" books...
Does she like pizza? How about reading them together at a pizza parlor? Do you frequently fly to London? OTOH If you are looking for an excuse not to do the right thing ... http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...oldid=429217857Maybe Tarc will break Jimbo's neck like a chicken bone? But in all seriousness, that article on Wikipedia is completely without functioning sources, for content as detailed as this: QUOTE Birth Infanta Leonor was born at 1:46 am in the Ruber International Clinic in Madrid by means of a caesarean section necessitated by non-progression of labour. Infanta Leonor weighed 3.5 kg (7 lbs. 11 oz.) and was 47 cm (18.5 inches) long. Her birth was announced by the Royal Family to the press via SMS. Leonor left the Ruber Clinic with her parents on 7 November 2005.
Baptism The Infanta was baptised in the Zarzuela Palace by the Cardinal Archbishop of Madrid, Antonio Rouco Varela, on 14 January 2006. Like her father in 1968, Leonor was baptised with water from the river Jordan, following the Spanish Royal Family tradition. She was also given the additional names of de Todos los Santos (of All the Saints), a Bourbon tradition. Her godparents were her paternal grandparents, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain.
The Spanish Royal House confirmed on 25 February 2006 that stem cells from Princess Leonor's umbilical cord have been frozen and stored at a blood bank in Tucson, Arizona. A spokesman said this is "habitual practice" at the clinic where Leonor was born. The stem cells will be frozen for at least 15 years, along with cells from 18,000 other babies around the world. Leonor is not the first royal baby to have her stem cells frozen; Prince Christian of Denmark has had his stem cells frozen as well.
Schooling Infanta Leonor began her education at the daycare for the children of the Spanish Royal Guard.
She began her first year of real schooling on 15 September 2008 at the Santa María de los Rosales School in Aravaca, just outside Madrid. Her father is an alumnus of the school.
Can you imagine the outcry if the general location of her pizza parlor outings with her father were disclosed? Where are you Tarc? Shouldn't this be deleted from Wikipedia??!?! This post has been edited by thekohser: Wed 22nd February 2012, 11:29pm

QUOTE(Tarc @ Thu 23rd February 2012, 12:32am) QUOTE(TungstenCarbide @ Wed 22nd February 2012, 5:08pm) QUOTE(thekohser @ Wed 22nd February 2012, 9:40pm) ... Maybe Tarc will break Jimbo's neck like a chicken bone? ... Tarc, you will never live this down, even if you live to be a hundred. I gave Kohs a very simple logical condition; if A is true, then B will result. What exactly do I have to "live down" ? I'm thinking about asking Selina to change my username to BreakYourNeckLikeAChickenBone

QUOTE What keeps you awake at night? Let me be really simple about this: the baby! She's nearly a year old now, and she went through this astounding lovely period of sleeping through the night but now she's back to her old ways. That's creepy? He sounds like any other happy parent to me? Definitely not creepier than "By the way Jimbo posted the personal sleep habits of his youngest daughter, and I notice that kind of stuff, here's a link [ in case anyone else is interested too!]" :/ For all his faults, I don't think that kind of thing really helps provide any criticism of Wikipedia or even the WMF really? It just sounds... ick. It just gives the impression of criticism being because of a personal vendetta/obsession and harms the ideal of criticism being taken seriously than just "ah, they're just trolling" - even if you don't beieve in constructive criticism to try create some kind of change, it's not very good for criticising why Wikipedia is bad and should be destroyed etc either, because most people reading WR can't take personality-fixation seriously, for the same reason no one takes the occasional cultist-like obsessed follower of Jimbo seriously either... It's just the flip side of the coin...

It's just the flip side of the coin... I agree with that. If someone asks someone "what keeps you up at night" and the response is "my kids!" that's something that any parent with young kids can relate to. Nothing creepy about it. The response is obviously more of a "I'm just a regular guy" kind.

Agreed. This smells, ever so slightly, like a publicity whitewash. "Lookit me, I'm just a regular taxpaying baby-maker." Wales's past history is not consistent with this stuff. As you might recall, he has one other child, who was not waved around in public in this manner. He is doing it to engender sympathy, probably at the suggestion of WMF people charged with improving his tattered public image. As if letting Wikipedia go to shit at the same time could be "validated" with his new baby. For anyone who doesn't think Jimbo is creepy, look thru his personal blog for a while. Gee, he sure spends a lot of time babbling about Wikia. The Great Lion Of Free Culture wants to make a quick and dirty buck. That said, enough said.

Seriously, you're stalking an 8 year old and posting creepy comments about babies, what possible benefit do you think that has for criticism of Wikipedia? You actually harm yourself more than anyone. -.- But I can tell you're too far gone you've obsessed for so many years it can only tear yourself away from children after some kind of intervention or something I guess, one of these days you're probably going to find a FBI van skidding up outside your drive Gregory Kohs ... Cos if any law enforcement got around to reading through you stuff, you sound like a case for whatever the US equivalent is of the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (T-H-L-K-D) - you haven't been getting any better, just increasingly more and more weird semi-threatening comments as the years have gone past. I agree that the supporting Wikia so much is creepy when it's one of the biggest reasons for content being killed off on Wikipedia that he supposedly supports - as per my link from what I said, too, before ( I linked it in the above post wikipediareview.com/?showtopic=36689&view=findpost&p=296765 ) - but why not just say that? How do you think normal people outside the world of Wikipedia reading all that stuff will think? Do you think they'd think worse of Wikipedia, or of you? *sigh* I'm just glad there's plenty of sane people here too and really hope people don't assume everyone on WR is like that. That's just my opinion...

If only it was possible to put functionaries on ignore!
