I invited her. Seems only fair if you're gonna discuss someone here, they be given the opportunity to present themselves.

Well that's just great - like we don't already have enough tent-dwelling sex-mad exhibitionist physics-&-technology-expert racist women around here.

I'm sure she won't lower the topic quality any lower than it already is. unsure.gif

Well, something tells me that she's pretty busy as it is...

Hmm, she's got a list of names, addresses and other info concerning WP admins and, by her own admission, she's obsessional, and crazy...

...please pass the popcorn...

I had a look at this isolated incident over at WP:ANI :
The TechnoFaye (T-C-L-K-R-D) user page has indeed been deleted. However, a copy of that page in googlecache is disturbing, to say the least :

QUOTE
...I'm pathologically shy, but paradoxically, I LOVE being tortured and raped. I crave it. I'm STARVING for it. Actually, all women want to be brutally raped by strange men, and all men want to do it to them. But everyone forgot who and what they really are.

I intend to change that...

Methinks you are all being trolled and rolled by somebody who is a middled-aged male. Attention is what they're STARVING for.

Dr. Tony Michael Roberts is 55, short, fat, poor and fascinated with using Second Life as a resource for teaching and learning.

Coincidently the wikimedia foundation has hired Second Life's former Vice President of Partnerships Cyn Skyberg to be their new Chief Talent and Culture Officer.

Naah. Anybody with a working knowledge of HTML can copy the information and photos off of Wikipedia-Watch.org and reformat it in an hour or two.

Interesting that she'd remove the first few entries though... it can't have been just because those people are already identifiable, because there are others who were left in, further down, that use their real names on WP. It almost looks like she removed them (Jimbo, Brad Patrick, Dave Gerard, Raul654, and Phil "Snowie" Sandifer) to fool people into thinking it wasn't a direct lift from the Hivemind page.

Apparently one of the two items in her job description is "to continue the work of creating and entrenching a staff culture that fits inside the bigger Wikimedia culture and shares its values of independence, openness, community, transparency and diversity."

That should probably read, "can be wedged inside the bigger Wikimedia culture's collective arse and report on what's swimming around up there without being noticed." As for the values to be "shared," I guess one out of five ain't bad.

Hmm.. now that I think about it some more, it's really zero out of five, which actually is pretty bad.

Well, she did find "wikipedia-watch", didn't she? I wonder what else she's found?

I suspect she's found us too, but if she decided to try registering, she might have been stymied by our insistence on non-free e-mail addresses.

It's hard to see it from her perspective, particularly if we assume (for the moment and/or for the purposes of this thread) that she's really who and what she says she is. Nevertheless, this looks like the classic "angry floundering" immediate post-ban response, typical of people who wanted to use WP for revenge and/or anti-social purposes to begin with but didn't get away with it (and in nearly all cases, this is due to their just being way too obvious about it).

I guess if she's reading this, she could e-mail us at our "anticabal" address on Gmail about getting a WR account, but she'll have to bear in mind that we're even less likely to "AGF" than the average Wikipedian when it comes to some of her, shall we say, unusual beliefs - assuming, again, that they aren't simply manufactured as an attention-grabbing strategy.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't really matter. Either way, they are probably a disturbed individual, the difference between the two possibilities being a matter of degrees. What I found interesting is how he/she brought out examples of the rather strange sheltering behavior of a number of WP editors. Some like to think of themselves as so "enlightened" that they label any concern about someone with highly disturbing views/behavior as "puritanical," while others want to cling so tightly to process that they won't even consider clear-cut situations if the exact normal process isn't followed. On top of that, we have the editors that believe any discussion that goes longer than they'd like to read must therefore be unproductive and just unnecessary drama.

The crazy part is that a number of these people are admins.

I rather think it does. The views expressed in the blog are that women like to be dominated by strong males. They secretly want to be violently raped by men, and men secretly desire this. Another section of the blog has a long series of pictures of women who have been raped and murdered, many of them horrifically dismembered. TFA gave the link at the start of this thread, I certainly don't want to visit there again. "Faye" must have spent many days or weeks collecting these horrible images, probably paid for them.

I think it makes a difference whether the person advocating these extreme views is male or female.

Yes, if it's a woman, it means that she's probably mentally ill. If it's a man, then he's probably dangerous. The blog is full of references to "Faye" wanting to be raped, dismembered and eaten If this is a man, then there's really a problem here.

Point taken, though that begs the question of whether anyone will be able to do anything substantial about that danger at this point. (I hadn't looked at much of the blog, given I'd already read enough to be thoroughly disgusted, just from WP-related stuff.)

Speaking purely from a WP standpoint, it should result in the same logical conclusion: they don't belong editing WP. Their contributions made it clear the person has some serious issues and would never be a net benefit to the project.

Oh ho ho ho! You so funny!

There's a lot of freaks who don't "belong editing Wikipedia", Batman!
