Remember your basic instructions: you have a total of 3 points to award to DICK contestants. You may award all three to one candidate by voting for that person as both DICK and runner-up, or you may divide them by giving 2 to a DICK candidate and 1 to a runner-up. The winner will be the contestant with the highest combined point total.

You must cast one vote in every category. The last selection is the equivalent of a "pass."


All other categories are more straightforward: you have one vote for each category. Use it wisely.

Here, for any N00bs, are the definitions for each category:

WP:DICK of Distinction -- for all-around rottenness by an admin

The Tag-Team Event (see Wikipedia:Tag team)

Miss Incongeniality, for original and flamboyant violations of Wikipedia:Civility

Vexatious Litigant, for the person who just can't get enough of those noticeboards and arbitration cases

and for the good guys...

the Straight Shooter award for honest admins

and the Cojones de latón, for the non-admin who has distinguished himself in combat with the cabal

I would like to draw attention to the Paul Blart "wiki mall cop" Tiptoety (T-C-L-K-R-D) as he is being considered, by the wikileet, for Wikipedia Ambassador Program.

The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is the perfect place for a Wannabee Vcop and wiki-jackass Teptoety.

I would love to see such new talent for low bottom feeding be recognized. Please give our very own Tiptoey, the wiki Paul Blart, your vote for DICK of Distinction.

Baseball Bugs has pulled into the lead position for Vexatious Litigant, while the Cojones event is still a dead heat between Cla68 and MZMcBride. With only a few days to go, the question is whether there are still members of the Academy who have not voted. Those stragglers, if they are out there, will decide these important races.

Wow! It's a dead heat in the Cojones event, with Cla68 and MZMcBride both at 19 votes. Meanwhile, Risker and Rlevse are creeping up in the Tag Team contest, breathing down the collective neck of the Climate Changers, while the Porn Protectors are still out front. And the Vexatious Litigant race is now turning into a contest between our own Abd and Baseball Bugs, with FT2 falling behind. The new votes are coming in slower now, with most members of the Academy already having cast their ballots. But that trickle of new votes will decide at least two hotly contested races.

The Vexatious Suitor award would probably be even more fun to watch if someone had thought to put Ottava in that one too.

I think that there's some merit in describing WP as the world's largest pwn shop, 3 balls and all. Though I'm not sure who has the 3 balls (maybe it was Godwin for tweaking the FBI).

Anyway, if you take your spare time into WP, they'll give you a barnstar pwn ticket for it. And if you go back to retrieve it, they'll say they lost it.

As the proposer of the award, I must agree. I saw it as a chastisement for those who run too easily screaming to the various "enforcement" mechanisms that WP offers

What I think we've got here is an award for long-winded, off-topic, and tl;dr submissions.

The source of the problem was that I separately proposed NYB for an award for which I was unable to find a catchy phrase. "Stemwinder" is too polite. "Impotent ArbCom Logorrheaic" is too ... opaque (and probably misspelled).
