At the risk of, well, a whole bunch of things, I'd just like to point out that she should really know better than to refer to a child-care plan for a public event to be held in Israel as a "babysitting solution."
It does actually bring up an interesting point, aside from that - as Wikipedia gets older, the old-guard cult faithful gets older right along with it, and presumably some of them do get married (or not?) and have kids. The need to take care of those kids could really put a bite into Wikimania attendance figures, and low attendance could be embarrassing to the Foundation PR-wise.
The big question is, will they hire professionals to look after the little tykes? Or will they (more likely) set up a "pool" in which WPers take turns doing it voluntarily, on a rotating schedule? Maybe they could do both, but paying responsible people to do responsible things is hardly the Wikimedia Way, and we know they don't like spending money on their actual users.
