Gary Weiss sobered up long enough for his last remaining friends in "journalism", TheStreet.com (also known for a decade as a training camp for Death To Byrne Jihadists, in addition to being a fantasy camp for hedge fund managers who want to be journalists), to run with an article today where Gary calls for Naked Shorting to be wielded against those pesky Chinese stock scams.

Nevermind legal recourse.

Look for Lil Gary to use his own article as a source on WP in the very near future. Funny guy. Very low profile the last few years. Funny that.

It's once again time to meet the Metz...

Does Cade have his own BLP yet?

Cade Metz isn't nearly famous or controversial enough yet.

Cade Metz isn't nearly famous or controversial enough yet.

Cade is one of the Antichrists of Wikipedia. If he was "notable", a BLP of him would probably be used as a personal attack piece.

He has the gall (the gall!!) to criticize them, so his name is a curse word on WMF servers and IRC channels.
(Except in articles involving criticism of Wikipedia. Then, he's just another handy "critic".)

It's funny that Weiss bent over backwards to defame Byrne--all to no avail.
No doubt Weiss was being paid by someone to defend naked shorting.
If we're lucky, someday someone will write about the hidden story. So much arrogant stupidity.

as a commentor said after the Register article.....

The whole point of Wall St is that it's a casino for teenagers who refuse to grow up.

It's the world's biggest MMPORG, with the best conversion rate between fake play cash and real cash, and none of the high camp of WoW or Second Life.

It's all adrenaline and cortisol all the time. Screwing the system and screwing the customers in every possible way is considered a feature, not a bug.

If you pressure these people to act like moderate and rational adults who understand what consequences are, they'll call you a socialist and run you out of town on a rail.

Add that article (The Register article, not the Economist article) as a reference to the Naked Short Selling article, and any editor who reverts it is almost guaranteed to be a Mantanmoreland sock.

This

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contr...ons/Biggorrilla

is probably Weiss. Has a long grudge against Keiser (deleted his BLP at one point, and Weiss absolutely hates Al Jazeera of course), and inserted "conspiracy theorist" as his main notability in the lede. Very Weissish. He couldn't put in "Baloney Brigade" leader, so that would have to suffice.

That Keiser is notable while Gary Weiss is not also irritates him.
