I asked Mike about why he reinstated the lock, after Pathoschild had done all that work to allow local communities to make their own decisions. (He went around and blocked locally, thus allowing local admins to unblock. It appears that some did, so Mike, he claimed, had a "discussion" with unspecified persons and relocked without any public discussion. And nobody has had the chutzpah to unlock, so far. Any local 'crat can rename. My guess is that de.wikipedia might do it, as did Wikiversity and Wikibooks and one or two more. |
