QUOTE(Michaeldsuarez @ Thu 10th November 2011, 2:08pm) QUOTE(thekohser @ Wed 9th November 2011, 2:48pm) Anyone find it odd that his first photo test-post would be of him and a woman who's since died? Would it be appropriate to ask Jimbo to donate some of these images to Commons? Since she's gone, the world needs more images to remember her with, and it would be nice if those images were free. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category...ia_von_BismarckI'd say no, that that wouldn't be appropriate -- one, in that it would be perhaps macabre; and two, in that the photographer holds the copyright and licensing power, not Jimbo. You'd be asking the wrong person, no?

You'd be asking the wrong person, no? I don't think "macabre" is something that an ED sysop perhaps interprets as you and I do Greg. I've been to that site. (and generally enjoyed it for what it is - we males quite rightly enjoy our perpetual adolescence, and long may that be so....)I'm not sure copyright is perhaps their strongest suit either - unless in the context of a takedown threat.
