No it isn't. Wikipedia is inconsequential in the real world.

Slow news day?

I do not know about Mitt Romney. However, it is undoubtedly true that four years ago the article on Sarah Palin was thoroughly worked over by paid consultants before it was announced that she would be running for Vice-president. This is well known in the industry.
