Full Version: G-Dett's description of Jayjg
> Wikimedia Discussion > Editors > Notable editors > Jayjg
Cla68
In a thread on the Arbitration Enforcement board, editor Brewcrewer complains that too many editors are wiki-stalking Jayjg and adds, in an apparent attempt at satirical humor, that he wants a stalker also.

G-Dett then responds with, as usual, a beautifully written, but concise and to the point, commentary which lays out Jayjg's methods and behavior fully out for examination:

QUOTE
Here's my advice Brewcrewer. Become an extremely prolific and influential editor; get admin and checkuser powers; keep your edits fiercely nationalistic; keep your policy rationales variable, specious, ''ad hoc'', and contradictory; work on developing a more peremptory, imperious, and papal tone toward editors who disagree with you; make hair-trigger edit-warring as basic to your idiom of self-expression as iambic pentameter was to Alexander Pope's; and most importantly, make a 100+ edits a day to dozens of articles on ''all'' aspects of the Middle East conflict. Make yourself ubiquitous in that area, and take up any partisan angle you can find within it, no matter how silly. Then, if in your ceaseless, vigilantly ideological patrol of that extensive beat, you find yourself having a number of arguments with the same editors, you'll be in a position to accuse those editors of "stalking" you; with any luck, a fool or two might even believe it.--[[User:G-Dett|G-Dett]] ([[User talk:G-Dett|talk]]) 23:49, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

The wikistalk tool reports that:
  • Jayjg and Brewcrewer both edited 194 articles and 319 pages overall
  • Jayjg and IronDuke both edited 88 articles and 311 pages overall
Virtually all of those articles are related to the Middle East conflict.

This omits the various blocks, protections, and other admin actions that Jayjg issues to protect articles in his area of interest. In reviewing his last 10,000 edits, it is difficult to find a content edit Jayjg has made outside his narrow field of interest.

Jayjg is not above labeling anyone he doesn't like "Anti-Semitic", while immediately erasing as "BLP" any suggestion that someone is "Anti-Arab" or "Anti-Muslim".

Jayjg and his henchmen, more than anyone else on Wikipedia, are responsible for its bias, lack of scholarship, lack of editorial integrity and distance, and general crappyness on topics related to the Middle East, Judaism, and Islam.

Brewcrewer and IronDuke get Kabal Kounts of 19 and 21 respectively. (For you new readers, that's number of mainspace articles edited by them, with the local Israel Lobby on WP, defined arbitrarily as a core of Jayjg, SlimVirgin, and Jpgordon.)

These are scores high enough for honorable mention (and look at those topics!). But we've seen much worse.

As for Jayjg, he is to the Israel Lobby on WP as Jossi was to Prem Rawat. Some user named Marden (not Rachel) was once actually banned for asking Jayjg again and again if he was paid to do what he does. Which is sit in Quebec, and apparently single-handedly attempt to turn large parts of Wikipedia into Bar Mitzvah conversation. I hope he at least got a Rolex for it. hmmm.gif

Yes, G-Dett's diagnosis is spot on. Does he have an account here?

She, and I don't think so.

Kinda like her, after seeing this.

Amazing she can diddle Jay's tag team without being Wiki-assassinated constantly.

Yes! That quote is worth repeating. JayzGjg is an admin; G-Dett isn't. What a strange world Wikipedia is. Bloody hell.

And as the discussion blossoms into another prolonged clash of the POVs, G-Dett gets in a few more good zingers, while IronDuke puts himself forward as the understudy for Jayjg, who does not deign to make an appearance.
