YOU OPINION on this IS NON RELEVANT...

What is relevant is this:

Limbaugh thinks he's been wronged by wikipeidia...

Limbaugh has money and people

Limbaugh has time... You can't stop Rush if he should roll and take down Wikipedia.

Not healthy for the "sum of all human defamation" Wikipedia.

You could stop Rush with an ice cream sundae and half a Vicodin. unsure.gif Don't mistake electronically amplified huffing with the noise made by an actual large and dangerous animal. It just SOUNDS similar. I've said this before: we get fooled by our instincts.

Rush Limbaugh and Wikipedia inhabit different virtual worlds, anyway. It's pointless to guess about Spiderman vs. Batman. Like Marvel would even notice DC.

We see... remember this... the football thing and the dud "Trapdoc" is already known to work for of a New York City law firm," Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, and for Mr. Limbaugh, this was "personal", which means, Rush will spare no expense in this...

I skimmed that transcript and Limbaugh seems to be saying something to the effect of since employees of the law firm using the IP support Democratic candidates, then Obama did it. It will be interesting to see where this ends up because Limbaugh seems to have a lot of resources willing to work on this for political capital.

It doesn't matter. Unless Limbaugh has enough bribed (Democratic!) congressmen and senators in his pocket to change the federal Communications Decency Act to eliminate or modify section 230, he can fulmanate and flail all he likes and nothing is going to happen. He's such a public figure that he's probably powerless even if 230 didn't exist and the stuff was in regular print like a tabloid, not sitting on an electronic website. As it is, he's doubly-screwed.

No, tripley-screwed. Since the lawyers will not tell him all this, but will fluff him and bleed him a lot instead. Not that he can't afford to lose some.

The problem most democrats and liberals fail to understand is...the tools they use, can be used on them?

Oh, come on, Mr. Victim - be fair. Everybody uses those "tools," and everybody understands that everybody else uses them. Wikipedia is an equal-opportunity defamer (not that that makes it all right, obviously).

The problem is that Limbaugh uses those tools himself, and has been for some time now, on his own website(s), etc. That's really what's likely to prevent him from going after the WMF directly, or even publicly call for Section 230 to be amended - though I'd still like to know what he thinks of the latter idea, if he ever says anything about it.

Sadly, I must concur with Somey and Milt.
Section 230 is a barn door through which one can drive all kinds of nastiness.
And the simple fact that Limbaugh used it on the air indicates that it's
not something he can make a proper defamation claim over. Plus, turning it into
an evil Obama plan is just plain stupid. And I'm sure Limbaugh knows it.

Just remember: Limbaugh, along with all other right-wing talk cranks, is an entertainer.
He needs a certain amount of crap every week, just to have new material to inflame his
loyal audience. I bet he has staffers trolling thru right-wing blogs looking for hot items.
If this hadn't been mentioned on American Thinker, Limbaugh might never have
known of it. (Maybe they watch his WP BLP, maybe not. Hmmm.)
