NUMBER OF DOLLARS SPENT ON ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION

My first question is, what was Rand Montoya doing for that entire month, working with the outside consultants, trying to get the "WIKIPEDIA FOREVER!" advertising banner to work "just so"? Was he working for free that month? Were the consultants doing it all pro bono?

Heck, who needs to ask difficult questions, when it's all right there in a recent Form 990?

Page 23 of the 2008 Form 990 says they spent $39,389 on "Public Relations". Isn't that promotional expense? Isn't that number larger than zero?

Is there anything that this organization puts out about itself that ISN'T A LIE?

Ah, what's the use... just check out the illustration photo on Page 34 of the link just above.

The Wikipedia works because those who know the truth, or something close to it, are usually more numerous and more committed than those who believe in a falsehood....

Let's face it ... how idiotic a statement ... what a logical phallusy (aka Cock and Bull)*.

Meanwhile ... back on the Wikipedia for real ... all one has to do is take any cult religion, nationalist politics or phantasy phancruft to find editors far "more numerous and more committed" to falsehood than normal individuals willing or able to give up their free time to fight them over it or clean up afterwards.

* Interestingly, 'Cock and Bull' on the Wikipedia does not refer to the history or relevance of the common English idiom
but instead plugs two commercial incidents of the use of the term. Probably "butt plugs" in the case of the Pornopedia.
