By the way, if they honestly wanted to show a pregnant stomach, they could easily have cropped out the breasts.

Somebody with some photoshop skills should add a fig leaf over those boobies and replace the image on the article. Any volunteers?

A one week civility block was too harsh.

Instead, they should have blocked him for a month for blatantly trolling. The people who are trying to push for a naked image in the lead are trolls. There is no legitimate reason for it.

By the way, if they honestly wanted to show a pregnant stomach, they could easily have cropped out the breasts. Furthermore, you don't see a fetus via the picture regardless, so what is the difference between skin and a dress? Most pregnant women don't walk around naked, so it wouldn't even match the cultural norms for it.

Disagree. To me it is not such a big deal to have an image of a naked woman, of a dressed woman, or not an image at all, but definitely there's not too much nakedness about this image. Pregnancy is a pure and a beautiful thing, and this image is OK, and definitely an image of a naked woman provides a much better idea of how a pregnant woman looks.

I believe that in this particular situation it is wrong to say that people who are trying to push for a naked image in the lead are trolls.

Should wikipedia delete the image of the sculpture of David too?

Good thing that Newyorkbrad didn't model for Michelangelo...could you imagine what David would have looked like? unsure.gif

However, it appears that he has now left the building, in a petulant response to getting a one week incivility block from Risker.

As a matter of fact we could imagine how Michelangelo's David would have looked like, if Newyorkbrad were a model. Just move this video forward for a few minutes or so, and you'd get an idea wtf.gif Of course Newyorkbrad is not exactly David biggrin.gif , but at least we know Newyorkbrad's full name, and where he lives, and what he looks like. For some arbitrators we are not even sure, if they are men or women. hrmph.gif
And these cowardly anonymous believe they have a right to judge me, who edited under my real name. Oh, really?
Have a curtsey to introduce yourself first before you are judging the editors who edit under their real names, if for nothing else just to make sure that we are not talking to another Essjay you know.

laugh.gif The image filter should automatically detect rudie bits and add fig leafs for medical articles or starbursts for pornography articles.
