Let's see how long he stays this time.

The Joy
Poor soul, he tried to be nice and let Selina and Blu Aardvark back in and everyone piled against him. "Assume Good Faith" and forgiveness just isn't in WP's culture and Linuxbeak learned that the hard way.

I hope I'm not hurting his reputation by saying he's one of my favorites.

Linuxbeak also tried to broker peace between WR and WP, and he tried to broker peace between Daniel Brandt and WP before that.

He is a diplomat, trying to make everyone get along.

Wikipedia has no interest in people getting along, so he is a demon in their eyes.

Looks like eighteen hours.

I sent a copy of my Petition for Redress of Grievance to LinuxBeak.

He did not respond.

Hmmm... given what happened the last time he tried to mediate a dispute of that nature, that's probably a little like dipping into a dry well now, isn't it?

Besides, I think we decided he was mostly just grandstanding at the time anyway. I'm not sure who you'd want to go to now for a redress of grievances... I'd lean towards the New Yorker, but the Guardian might be a little less challenging up front. Unless you have some "inside dirt" on Jimbo, of course, in which case you could go straight to the top! smiling.gif

Well, at least while was back he did something constructive like changing the user name for 8-time RFA candidate Aranda56 the 4th.

What is the name of 'that nature'?

I know el zippo de nada about Jimbo Wales.

But I did go to Mike Godwin. He has not responded either, other than to say that he would not read any e-mails that also copied to Brent Britton. I had originally been corresponding with Brent, who was the only graduate of the MIT Media Lab to take up a career in the law. When I mentioned my Wiki-Tsuris to Brent, he disclosed that he was on retainer to WMF and shot my problem on up to Mike. Mike asked me not to copy Brent on subsequent traffic, as Brent was obliged (or entitled) to bill WMF for time spent reading those messages.
