This diff is curious. I believe Durova here is stating that source-based research is the same thing as original research.

Am I right? Or am I right. Yes. Thank you. No thank you. No thank you.
Have a super duper terrific day.

It's never easy to read Durova's mind. Of course someone's mother's maiden name may be relevant to a BLP. To know that Nigella Lawson's mother was a Salmon says much about her. (Seriously, the Salmon family ran a chain of restaurants.)

Of course! Who better to run a restaurant than a Salmon!
Personally I love Cioppino, but I'll take a nice pink Salmon with a cream dill horseradish sauce anyday. And can you bring an extra bowl of just pure horseradish as well?

Thanks.

That's all well and good, but who runs the restaurant when the Salmons go upstream to spawn?

Poached Salmon?

That fish story sounds like it came from an otherwise uncredited source.

You are being ridiculous. I happen to know the Salmon family and not only did they tell me personally, but I conducted many interviews over a dozen years, in person, with poached Salmon.

I think you're being Pointy, conducting OR, violating my privacy, beating a dead horse and otherwise engaging in unrepentent flatulence !

I have no interest in the idiot-syncrasies of Durova, or JzG, or even SlimVirgin for that matter. If it wasn't those fools and those tools it would be some other fools and some other tools.

But if you look at the Cui Bono Trend of what's going on here you may begin to see a pattern — the types of forces who find Nebbish Urinalism so much easier to control, for all its pretension to radically independent populism, than Professional Journalism, for all its decline in standards that we have witnessed in recent decades.

Let me explain it this way. I just happened to see a news special about Global Warming, a portion of which dealt with the way that the Oil Industry lobbyists appointed to advisory jobs in the Bush Administration freely edit — that is, censor — the reports of top-notch scientists working for national science agencies like NASA.

Now imagine a public information machine that does this anonymously, with no audit trail of the special interests that are responsible for their campaigns of public disinformation.

That is the house that Jimbo built.
