No more have I. Although maybe you've just flushed out who reads WR, as presumably most people's first reaction would be to check themselves.

I checked myself. There's no shame in that.

I observed several months ago that our editing habits tell more about ourselves than our IP address does. The graphs showing when I edited Wikipedia, and in what areas, are very revealing to me. It's nothing I wasn't already aware of, but seeing data represented in pictorial form drives the point home more clearly.

Kudos to whoever developed this tool.

I noticed some interesting things.

Of Majorly's last 500 edits, only 15 are in article space.

Orderinchaos does not follow an obvious schedule. His last 5,000 edits show dots in the "day of week and hour" graph for almost every coordinate, and he has at least 100 edits (100 is 2% of 5,000) for every single hour in the 24-hour spectrum, and at least 500 edits (10% of 5,000) for every day of the week. I think he lives in Australia, but I wonder when he sleeps.

Depends on your religious views, however, I check myself on a daily basis. happy.gif

At least I no longer have to remember the names of the IDcab anymore.

Even though I know well how to read this editor's name, I still can't run across it without thinking first that it must be some Miocene beast with a giant horn. wink.gif

I thought Greek last name when I first ran across it.

C'mon guys, you've all heard of Orderinchaos. He's an admin with an absurdly high edit count, and he got busted for voting in RFA with two other accounts linked to him by checkuser, but he says those are real-life friends and the establishment believes him (as do I). Proabivouac adamantly believes OIC was lying, but anyway, that's how he's relevant over here. I observed a few months ago that OIC went more than 7 months once without skipping a day of editing.

Real-life friends who used his account to make edits so it looks like he never sleeps? You remember what I said about the giant rubber bed in London with the RachelBrown/Runcorn/Taxwoman+friends Thing on it (this was long before Selwood and we knew the whole truth). How can you fall for this story about "special editing friends" again and again and again?

Wikipedians and real life friends? Odd dichotomy. Are you saying they were having some sick wiki-LAN party? Gross. There is far too much beer in the world to be entertaining such a gathering.

No, they were different accounts. It was Elonka's 2nd RfA, if I recall.

I have him on my MSN list and he seems to go to sleep at... night, so either he blocks me after a certain hour so he can continue his stealth editing, or he has a perfectly normal sleep pattern and there's something funky happening with the data there.

I think we should change the "Editing patterns" link under WR member names to use this Wikichecker site, instead of the one it links to now.

Of course, I realize some people would just as soon get rid of that link altogether...

Does that really surprise you, what with, oh, my RfC, getting desysopped, and reorganising thousands of RfAs taking my time up...

And now I'm back in full time education, I don't have time to edit at all.

It doesn't surprise me. When you get more time to edit, think about spending more time in mainspace.

The site's creator(s) is/are Japanese. I pointed out some typos and they've already been fixed, along with a thank you note. I'm sure they would welcome any suggestions for enhancement. There's an email and message box on the "about" page.
