Who Are the top ten blocked editors at Wikipedia? Here's a couple I ran across;

User:SPUI ~ 67
User:Pigsonthewing ~29 (I think he has some other accounts)
SirFozzie
Vintagekits is probably well up there.
Alex
The admin with the most blocks is A Man In Black, and the admin who has unblocked himself the most times is 172, but who hasn't been an admin for years now.

I think I've got about 20, although all but a small fraction of them were undone within a short period of time.

Grawp, naturally. It's hard to come up with an exact number though, due to the difficulty of discerning which IPs/users are actually him and which are impersonators.
Castle Rock

Giano has been blocked 29 times.
Sarcasticidealist
I say the record probably goes to this guy.

laugh.gif yeah, that account wins.

Betacommand would be up there I think.

Naaah. Willy on Wheels pretty-much beats them all. Grawp's just a cheap recycler of worn out old meme.

For non-vandal editors, Vintagekits "23 blocks and still standin!" probably wins for being the most persistent, at least for the duration of some of his blocks. Repeatedly indefblocked, he's still editing away smile.gif

He has 22, I think. One was him blocking himself indefinitely back in early 2007, though.

His bot has been blocked 45 times, culminating with an indefinite block in May.

good god. SPUI refused to work with any editors, and was extremely nitpicky in that certain pages had to be formatted according to his styles. That and he was creating pages for County Routes in New Jersey and was devaluing our project as a whole.

That, and he admitted to getting a little "too excited" when he saw a "button-copy" interstate shield in Washington D.C.

Perhaps there should be a "BEWARE:Rainman" (or Aspie or OCD) userbox. The realworld such people can be useful contributors, but they need somebody to interface/run interference for them.

On the nets, they sometimes just exhibit the "fling all toys from the pram and screech" syndrome. Without any other markers, it's hard to know how to handle them.

Well, bear in mind that SPUI was a blatant, self-confessed troll--he just happened to be interested in roads in addition to trolling, and did a lot of good work in that area. I don't know if the disputes he got into regarding roads represented a merger of his two interests, or if he actually did feel that strongly about how the articles should be formatted (or whatever it was). I also can't seem to recall what ended up happening to him. Indef block or retirement?

I don't know all that much of SPUI's story, but from what I saw I would have to agree that he was pretty nitpicky. But to be fair, I cannot see how he was any more nitpicky than Der Autobahnenfuehrer or the other wonky roadsters.

After essentially being threatened with a ban, he retired.

It's a disgrace that he's even still an editor. He makes Jayjg look neutral.
