In what must surely be the last gasp of Web 2.0 insanity we report the launch of PersonRatings, a site where visitors can rate people, anyone, with complete anonymity. Just enter their name, tick some boxes and leave a comment or two, which should in no way be driven by personal animosity or thirst for revenge.

Here's Jimbo Wales's page.

Why don't you do something with Heaven on Their Minds which is clearly the better song and lends itself wonderfully to parody? Just go to Mr. Wales' talk page and start with:

QUOTE
Listen Jimbo
I don't like what I see
All I ask is that you listen to me
And remember
I've been your right hand man all along

then insert the sycophant's lame solution of the day.

Okie dokie, then! We need the names and bad habits of some federal circuit court judges that nobody has otherwise heard of. Sometimes (usually) the judicial system has remarkably little empathy for the Little Guy, until the problem impacts them personally. Then they wake up. (Okay, I finished Grisham's The Appeal, so I'm feeling a little jaundiced. But then I usually do when reading about the "justice" system, cases real or fictional).

Sec 230, prepare for one more excess.

I now have 9 song requests from 5 different people in the last 3 days.

I need a secretary to keep track of all these unfulfilled song requests.

Only 3/5 for confidence? Whatever you might say about Jimbo, surely you can never accuse him of lacking confidence. Has the man ever admitted he was wrong about anything, ever?

No, I think he's a good example of Randian "contexual certainty." Which, actually, is not a good thing. It's common in narcissists, though, which Rand was. They always think they are right, and if they are later proven wrong, they will tell you that they made the correct decision for the information they had at the time. Think W. Bush.

Beginning to wonder if Obama's the same-but-worse. It may help with leadership for the leader not to show any doubts, like Ike Eisenhower or FDR smiling all the time. But if they really HAVE no inner doubts, and actually manically think they CAN fix everything, then it's time to be afraid. A good leader needs to be scared shitless half the time, even if they don't show it. I'm just hoping Obama worries much more than he lets on, but I fear that he does not.

I like how it has buttons for locating people and running background checks.

The best is the "Remove web results" button which leads to ReputationDefender.

I predict this will be dead within 3 months, or when the first serious looking lawsuit gets dropped on someone's desk, whichever comes first. It feels very flimsy. If it gets serious traffic, it will probably fall over and die.

Some sample bios (not at all randomly selected):
Mark Hawker
Julianne Doherty
