Not hardly. But there was a written agreement that no introduction to any of this speeches would include the playing of any part of Dueling Banjos.

QUOTE
Wikia just posted its first profitable quarter, driven by strong advertising revenues generated largely from its gaming sites, Wales said.

Golly. Who would have thought that gaming would be the thing that finally drove a Wiki site into enough public use to be profitable at those revenues. blink.gif

That would be a great idea for Wikipedia, if it weren't non-profit. You could turn parts of it into a giant game! smile.gif

Now I am beginning to see why both Mike Godwin and (thus far) Michael Snow took such a dismissive attitude toward me when I brought to their attention the misuse of the Wikipedia trademark by Alphascript Publishing and their deceptive descriptions of re-printed Wikipedia content.

I can imagine Jimbo saying to each of them, "Look, I'm about to ink a deal with H-P to print $15 magazines of the crappy content of mine over at Wikia. I don't need the WMF saying they disapprove of expensive print-outs of free content. Ignore this Alphascript issue. Let 'em go. I'll hook you guys up with a nice Lolicon magazine print-out if you just ignore this Kohs troll. He's trolling, and I find it very dismaying. I'm sure only tens of customers are going to actually print out Wikia crap with H-P, but I don't care. H-P is giving me a briefcase full of money for the rights to do so, and I need that briefcase of money!"

Yes, that's how it probably went down.
