It's just taking away the new returning kid's book, or whatever, and holding it over their heads to see how upset he gets. If he really HAS to have his tools back in 24 hours, and is upset by not getting them NOW, RIGHT NOW, who knows how long they can prolong it?

With luck, as long as they've been torturing Everyking. smile.gif tongue.gif

This is the encyclopedia everybody wants to do something about their accuracy problem, by making some CONSENSUS change. They can't get consensus to pick their own noses.

I seem to recall some fairly recent discussion that seemed to end in agreement that admins shouldn't have their bat tools given back immediately after requesting them in case a member of the mythical community wanted to raise an objection to the return of said bat tools. No idea what the "secret admin" stuff is about.

I see nothing to indicate that the "candidate" demanded or expected instant gratification. Rather I believe requests of this type create a race condition as we have too many goddamn bureaucrats always trying to beat each other to the punch.

In their defense, I think most of them realize if they take the time needed to familiarize themselves with situations and contemplate them thoroughly before acting, somebody else will always get to it first. Thus their lack of imprudent haste eventually will result in some dipshit demanding the removal of their bureaucrat rights due to inactivity (liek zomg, no logged actions in the last N days) which could easily put them in the same situation as this poor fool Jafeluv.

How about a new rule that says "if there's no 'cloud' then just don't resign" and "you'll have to file a new RFA, which you almost surely will fail", etc.

Batman (TV series)

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 66.208.246.186 (talk) at 11:18, 2 January 2006. It may differ significantly from the current revision.

The link below works so I assume the oldid is corrupted on Eva's post.
