I wish some brave person willing to sacrifice an account woud post that pic in a giant 600px thumb image on Jimbo's TALK page, with the comment that since WP is NOTCENSORED, there should really be no problem in WP being partly an Encyclopedia of Genital Mutilation.

Of course, one of the real problems of WP is that whenever you shove their noses in an example of the fine mess created by one of their own policies, they haul out WP:POINT. All corrupt "societies" are forced to resort to some NIMBY thing like this, quite regularly.

Well, I think it's high time someone publicized the horrors of Male Genital Mutilation (MGM). Lots of people know about the tragic and horrific problem of female genital mutilation, especially in Central Africa, and I'm not saying that shouldn't be focused on as well... but male genital mutilation, especially in Germany and Central Iowa, has reached near-crisis levels. Not to mention the whole problem of excessive focusing, which seems to have been exacerbated by the proliferation of 14-megapixel digital cameras with double-sided LCD displays.

I think it's very noble of Mr. Brinkmann to use his own horribly-mutilated body as a repulsive visual reminder of just how disgusting and awful this MGM practice really is. The German government and all of German society should really be ashamed of itself for allowing this sort of thing to happen, and in the 21st Century no less.

Many of his uploads were deleted because they were "out of project scope", but I guess Fran was mistaken.

They ought to be deleted for probable copyright infringement, considering that these photos have been wandering around the Internet for at least a decade (I've seen some of them, at least, countless times before), and there's no reason whatsoever to believe that the uploader is the photographer. Most of the "I took this picture myself" uploads to Commons are outright lies.

Someone's done that already.......and Expert1961 was discussed in some depth last year.

There are few active brain cells at commons so nobody can think that the uploader may be stealing. Remember PublicgirlUK from 2006? It took a lot before "her" pictures got smashed.
