I am a researcher seeking to interview Wikipedia contributors of any and all levels of experience and involvement. In-depth, one hour interviews will be conducted over the phone or email beginning March 27. Compensation for your time will be provided: a $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com. Must be 18+ and U.S. resident. Contact Benjamin Johnson, Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media, Michigan State University, by email at john2429-mhe/1IdEl88@public.gmane.org or by phone at 517.230.1272.

Thanks!

Benjamin

Well, so much for that idea! He just knocked out most of the actual users, along with anyone who'd consider talking to him without also insisting on being totally anonymous, in just that one sentence... laugh.gif

He probably should have explained that Amazon.Com is a service for ordering Books ... "Damn!" I can hear them saying even as I write it ...

Yeah, I was going to do the same, it just seems weird. The phone number is someone's cell in Michigan. Also, I doubt it would be worth it, 10 bucks at Amazon really doesn't make me think about going for it.

Looks legit to me.

A search on "Benjamin Johnson" "Michigan State" brings up this course listing — TC 240 Introduction to Digital Media Arts — with Benjamin Johnson listed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, same phone number and same decoded email address.
